Preview Day & Inauguration

The fourth edition of the Mumbai International Boat Show had its grand inauguration on February 18 by Vice Admiral Anil Chopra, AVSM, Director General of the Indian Coast Guard at the Bandra-Kurla Complex.

After the inauguration, the Vice Admiral was escorted for a tour around the exhibition, where he interacted keenly with exhibitors, asking questions about their boats and the industry in general.

Following the inauguration, the VIP Preview Evening, an exclusive, by-invitation-only event was attended by over 4,000 VVIPs and HNIs the who’s who of Mumbai and key people from the boat industry. It gave serious boat buyers an unmatched opportunity to talk to many exhibitors all under one roof and obtain information on the different types of boats available in the market, thereby bringing them closer to their dream of owning a boat.

The evening also saw an exciting fashion show organised by Gitanjali Lifestyle, an associate sponsor of Mumbai International Boat Show. Gitanjali Lifestyle’s MAYA Weddings & Occasions (a new chain of fashion stores showcasing designer wear and stylised accessories for wedding and occasions) presented a few of their designer collections. Beautiful models sashayed down the ramp wearing outfits designed by Gunjan and Rahul, LU from Lolita and the grand finale by Amber & Shirrin.
